PM Modi in the UK – UKIBC CEO Interview with CNBC TV18

Richard Heald, OBE, Group CEO of UK India Business Council spoke with Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor of CNBC TV18, on the topics discussed at the UK-India CEO Forum. These included technology and technology collaborations; how can bilateral investments and trade improve in the context of Brexit; and data management protocols: how data can be captured, leveraged and secured for benefit of both countries.

Richard also talked about the fact that the key focus of bilateral meetings as well as the CEO Forum this year was ‘technology’, and how announcements such as the opening of the Centre of Excellence on Future Mobility in Pune, and the Artificial Intelligence and Augmented and Virtual Reality Centre in Bangalore, will help in this direction. Other aspects discussed were the Ease of Doing Business, Tier 2 Visas from India and the Totalisation Agreement involving Indian workers in the UK.
