Steve Garratt, Board Member, IVCA gives his thoughts on the UKIBC Business Centres
On September 19, 2013 the UK Trade Minister Lord Green and Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda opened the UK’s first Business Centre in an emerging market in Gurgaon, in India. Rt. Hon. Patricia Hewitt, Chair UK India Business Council welcomed the ministers who enjoyed a tour of the Centre.
The UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and the British Business Groups (BBGs) are supporting this UKIBC – led initiative which will help British companies, especially SMEs, experience a low-risk, low-cost entry into India.
Leading British Trade Body representatives joined Lord Green to participate in the launch, including senior representatives, from the Aerospace Defence & Security Group (ADS), the Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI), the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), British Expertise, the Engineering Industries Association (EIA), the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), the Institute of Directors (IOD), the Institute of Export (IoE), the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
