Sustainability Dialogue Outcome Report

The transition to a sustainable, net-zero economy represents one of the most significant
economic and industrial transformation of the 21st century. For the United Kingdom and India—
the world’s sixth and fourth-largest economies respectively—this transition is not merely an
environmental imperative but a strategic lever for economic resilience, trade competitiveness, and
geopolitical leadership.

It is within this high-stakes context that the UK India Business Council (UKIBC) convened its 3rd
annual Sustainability Dialogue. Building upon the foundational work of previous dialogues which
explored green growth and roadmap development, this third iteration focused resolutely on
implementation: accelerating industry adaptation, unlocking transition finance, and harmonising
the regulatory architectures of two sovereign nations to co-create solutions for the wider Global
South.

The Dialogue convened industry leaders, government representatives, academia, and think tanks
to advance the UK–India sustainability partnership.
