Introducing UKIBC’s University Corporate Partnership

UK India Business Council is delighted to share our exciting ‘University Corporate Partnership’ initiative.
Futureproofing a business for the ‘new economy’ will require enhanced collaborations with academia across multiple levels. We at the UKIBC are creating a common platform for Indian Industry and UK’s Higher Education institutions to leverage and flourish.
For Indian Industry, the attractiveness is clear:
- The quality and credentials of UK’s Higher Education institutions make them an obvious choice
- UK universities are keen to forge an extended and enhanced collaboration with Indian Industry
- The credentials of UK’s Higher Education sector make it well positioned to add value across priority areas for Indian Industry
Collaboration does of course already exist in some form, which is another positive, but excitingly we have all barely scratched the surface to unlock the industry-academia relationship’s full potential.
This is why the UKIBC are launching a new initiative called the ‘University-Corporate Partnership’ (UCP) which aims to match relevant high-quality UK universities and Indian corporates to explore mutual synergies across skills, talent recruitment, internships, research or training programmes to name a few.
As part of the initiative, we have created a survey, the insights from which will be collated into a report and will enable us to connect participating Indian corporates to the appropriate UK university or universities in our network to kickstart a new win-win partnership for both sides.
