Smart Cities Healthcare Trade Mission to India

|

Calling the best of innovative British healthcare: the design, development and management of healthcare facilities, the setting up and running of high quality clinical services, the training and education of staff and digital healthcare.

Why you should join

India’s healthcare market is estimated to grow to USD 280bn by 2020 and has a shortfall of 2.5m hospital beds and 1m doctors, compared to world-average per-person ratios.

India has just announced the first 20 of the proposed 100 smart cities programme which will involve an overall investment of £10bn and is expected to significantly upgrade the healthcare infrastructure in these cities. This mission places the UK as a healthcare partner of choice for the Smart Cities programme.

The mission responds to the most prominent opportunity in the Smart Cities Healthcare space for a British supply chain to set up and operate a set of 11 Indo UK Institutes of Health with 89 more local medical centres. We have a strong relationship with the customer who is committed to using UK organisations and companies for the Institutes. Several other major project owners are keen to meet UK experts in designing, operating and managing smart hospitals and healthcare systems.

The Mission

The mission is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your expertise, whether in Healthcare Infrastructure, Education & Training, Digital Health or innovative Healthcare Services to the Indian market. We propose to develop a clear proposition for smart healthcare and run an exhibition stand, seminars, visits and receptions in Delhi, Mumbai and a third city representing the most advanced of the 11 proposed Institutes.

We hope that Sir Malcolm Grant, Chairman of NHS England will lead this high profile mission which will follow on from the launch of the Indo UK Institutes by the two prime ministers at the end of last year. It will provide an introduction to both the Institutes programme, other major healthcare customers looking for UK partners and State and National government representatives that you would not get if you entered the market on their own.

We are particularly interested in organisations with expertise in the following areas:

1. Smart hospital design
2. Digital Hospital solutions and services
3. Smart emergency and ambulatory care
4. Population health analytics
5. Automated quality and performance management of healthcare service delivery
6. Smart health services including remote monitoring such as Telecare and Telehealth
7. Clinical Decision Support
8. Smart healthcare education systems
9. 21st Century clinical services (e.g. personalised care services)
10. Sustainability solutions (i.e. low carbon or adaptation to climate change etc)
