India may have jumped up the World Bank’s ease of doing business rankings based on its national performance, but what is the experience on the ground at the State level? Whilst the ‘Make in India’ Business Reforms Action Plan has set a competitive element to reform across States, is this working and what more can be done to ensure companies can invest across India’s diverse States?
