UKIBC to lead on UK-India Food and Drink Sector trade promotion and investment on behalf of UK DIT

UK India Business Council (UKIBC) is Department for International Trade’s (DIT) business partner for India’s Food & Drink sector. Effective April 2018, it has taken over the responsibility for the day to day delivery of the trade promotion to increase the exports of UK Food & Drink to India.

UKIBC to lead on UK-India Food and Drink Sector trade promotion and investment on behalf of UK Government in India

In the new role, UKIBC is responsible for developing the overall F&D sector strategy, work towards raising the profile of the UK’s F&D sector in India, promote India and Indian opportunities in the UK through targeted activities such as webinars, roadshows, etc., support UK F&D companies looking to enter India, provide inputs on market access issues for F&D Joint Trade Review (JTR) initiated between UK and Indian government.

DIT will continue to lead on the UK’s trade policy discussions with India through JTR and JETCO, provide government to government support to UK businesses, offer UK government businesses for events to UK companies, and support and engage with UKIBC on trade promotion and policy.
