UK India Business Council – Senior Leadership Changes

By UK India Business Council (UKIBC)

UK India Business Council is today announcing changes in its senior leadership to take effect in the course of 2020.

Lord Davies of Abersoch CBE will step down as Chair on 31 August 2020 at the conclusion of his term of office. However, we are delighted that Lord Davies will retain a close association with UKIBC and will assume the position of President of a new UKIBC Senior Leadership Council to be comprised of a number of Chairs and CEOs of some of the largest businesses operating in the UK-India corridor. The Senior Leadership Council will provide UKIBC with strategic insight on the business environment in the two countries.

Richard Heald OBE who has led UKIBC since October 2010 will succeed Lord Davies as Chairman and will step down from his role as CEO in the course of 2020. Under Richard’s leadership the organisation has grown in size, scope, impact and sustainability to become the premier “knowledge” and advocacy organisation operating in the UK India economic corridor. In this way, UKIBC will continue to benefit from Richard’s leadership, as well as his deep experience and networks in both India and the UK.

As the UK and India seek to exploit all the potential of the economic relationship between two major partners, UKIBC is determined to retain and expand on its unique position as a business-led and government-backed provider of high-quality consultancy and advocacy services and extensive networks for the benefit of businesses large and small.

We will shortly launch a public search in both India and the UK for a new CEO to take the organisation forward dynamically and to take advantage of all the opportunities. In the meantime, all enquiries should be addressed to recruitment@ukibc.com.

The position will be advertised with the Times online, on UKIBC’s website and on its social networks.

Once the search process is live, any enquiries about the position should be directed to Odgers Berndtson which is supporting UKIBC in the CEO search process, on details to be communicated.
