Abhay Sen manages the State level engagements for UK India Business Council. He works with the State government’s bureaucracy, political fraternity, and media to deliver and support UK businesses in India through inputs in policy frameworks.
Abhay is a public policy, research, and communications professional with over 9 years of experience working with State and Central Government, multilaterals, foundations, social enterprises, and corporates such as World Bank, Tata Trusts, GIZ, Coca-Cola, Shell Foundation, Unilever, DfID, FICCI, Google, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and the Government of Gujarat, to name a few. He has donned multiple hats, from a communications specialist, public policy, behaviour change specialist, rural marketer, strategy, market research, and impact assessment to program management.
Abhay has proven capability of managing diverse stakeholders to build and deliver on critical development challenges and social causes such as skill development, policy frameworks for businesses, WASH, women empowerment, ease of doing business, market access, last mile empowerment, livelihood and entrepreneurship development (economic empowerment), infrastructural reforms, irrigation, nutrition, clean energy, indoor air pollution, and access to consumer goods at the last mile markets.
Abhay has a Bachelors in Economics from Delhi University and a Post-graduate Diploma in Management from MICA.
