The Collaborate Project offers A12-hour Free Support Programme for SMEs

Collaborate is a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and partner organisations. As a part of this project, Leicester City Council has commissioned the UK India Business Council to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Leicester and Leicestershire, 12 hours of free support in assessing India as a potential international expansion opportunity. The tailored support programme will help businesses plan their market entry and scaling within India.

What does the support programme entail?

The 12-hour support plan will be mutually agreed in advance and tailored to the needs of the individual businesses. The support will involve a combination of one-to-one confidential and specialist business advice, live events, webinars and others. Are you eligible for the programme?

A quick guide to eligibility criteria

Please consider the following eligibility criteria:

  • Employ fewer than 250 people or volunteers
  • Have a turnover of less than €50M and/or have a balance sheet of less than €43M
  • Have received less than €200k in public grants in the last 3 years
  • Do not have more than 25% of the organisation owned by an enterprise that itself is not an SME
