Financial support to attend IFB2016

By UK India Business Council (UKIBC)

Would you like to bring a group of business people to the International Festival of Business 2016? You can apply for a grant to help with the cost.

Under the ‘Fly to Buy’ scheme, grants are available to help fund delegations from outside the UK. You can receive up to £2,000 (€2,600) to bring a delegation of five people (conditions apply).

And there’s no limit to the number of grants that any single organisation can apply for.

Applying for a grant is a simple process which can make all the difference to your delegation. We’re here to help, so to start your application, simply contact me or click here to download a form.

Why attend IFB2016?

IFB2016 is expected to attract over 30,000 delegates from the UK and overseas, making it the leading business festival this year. It will be a buzzing marketplace for companies to create connections and do deals.

Each week will focus on a sector:

* Week 1 – Manufacturing
* Week 2 – Energy and Environment
* Week 3 – Creative and Digital

The high-quality content will include:

* One-to-one appointments with suppliers, buyers, investors and advisers
* Live export and investment opportunities
* A range of free business services including legal, financial and marketing advice
* Expert-led sector-specific seminars
* World-renowned events such as TEDx, Accelerate 2016 and the Horasis Global Meeting
* Large-scale networking receptions
* Inspiring talks from leaders in the fields of business, innovation and technology

The festival will take place at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, a state-of-the-art event complex on the city’s picturesque waterfront. There will be a rich and varied cultural programme for delegates to enjoy while in Liverpool – a former European Capital of Culture.

Attending the festival is free, but to guarantee entry delegates must register for the online IFB2016 Business Club – a bespoke business matching service (also free). The club will also provide exclusive benefits during the run-up to the festival, including a range of free business-support services.
