Opportunities in India’s Aerospace & Defence sector

|

Join the UK India Business Council for an insightful seminar on the opportunities being created in the Aerospace and Defence sector by the ‘Make in India’ campaign.

India is looking at increasing the share of engineering and manufacturing in its GDP to 25% from the current 16% over the next 8-10 years. To aid this the new Indian Government has launched the ‘Make in India’ campaign, which aims to transform India into a global manufacturing export hub. The campaign seeks to increase foreign and domestic investments in manufacturing across 25 sectors, ranging across aerospace, defence, automotive, ICT, tourism, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, chemicals, healthcare and more.

Of course the UK has a multiplicity of strengths in these sectors and is well placed to engage with the ‘Make in India’ initiative. There will be significant technology collaboration and manufacturing opportunities created and this seminar aims to help UK companies understand and access them.

This event is aimed at informing UK businesses and technology providers of key opportunities in the Aerospace & Defence sectors that the Indian market offers, potential areas of collaboration and issues to be aware of, and risk mitigation strategies.
