Voting is about to begin in a General Election far more hotly contested than we could have anticipated. The ruling BJP have promised universal healthcare insurance, whilst the National Congress Party have put to the people a form of universal basic income. Ambitious manifestos combined with the pioneering use of technology and data in elections mean the stakes could not be higher.
