Football Trade Mission to India

|

The football industry is growing rapidly in India, a country with an increasing appetite for international sport. The Department for International Trade (DIT) would like to open the door to collaboration, expansion and exploration by delivering this Mission, in partnership with the Premier League.

Due to the huge success of the Indian Super League and its association with the Premier League and Premier League Clubs, the time is right for UK businesses to explore this market. DIT, in partnership with India on Track, the Premier League and Star Sports, has secured senior level participation in The Football Movement Conference; enabling UK companies to form business connections at the highest level.

The Mission programme will enable UK participants to engage with relevant stakeholders in Delhi and will culminate with the Football Movement Conference in Mumbai. Indian delegates will include decision-makers from leading corporations, brands, stakeholders from the football industry, clubs, league/federation reps, broadcasters and government officials from the Indian Sports Ministry.

Following the Conference, the Premier League will operate a fan experience in conjunction with Star Sports. Please click here for the draft programme.
Confirmed participants include Premier League; Star Sports; all of the ISL and I-League clubs; All India Football Federation; Adidas; Hero and Pepsi.
Who should attend? Applications are invited from UK companies associated with the business of football, particularly suppliers to the Premier League and English Football League and those operating in the supply chain.

Delegates will be responsible for their own travel costs including flights, insurance and accommodation.

Participation Fee: £200 + VAT

All companies will be responsible for covering travel, airport transfers, accommodation, visas and personal expenses.
