India, EU hope to reach free-trade pact this year (Economic Times)

India and the European Union have agreed to work on clean energy solutions and adapting to climate change but say their long anticipated trade pact won't happen until later this year.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh says progress was made in Friday's summit in New Delhi on resolving market disputes that have prevented a free-trade agreement since talks began in 2007.
