Sharon Bamford | Chief Executive

Prior to her role as founding chief executive of the UK India Business Council, Sharon founded and grew five businesses across a range of sectors from drilling simulation for the oil and gas sector to Montessori pre-schools. She also spent nine years in academia supporting and growing spin out businesses and was science park director for the University of Edinburgh, a lecturer in entrepreneurship and was most recently CEO for the Scottish Institute for Enterprise, leading entrepreneurship for all twenty of Scotland's higher education institutions. Sharon's role is to lead and grow the UKIBC to effectively support business.

Kevin McCole | Chief Operating Officer

Kevin joined the UKIBC in December 2008, immediately following 3 years working in Kolkata as the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Deputy High Commission. In this role, Kevin helped UK businesses win contracts and find partners in Eastern India and assisted Indian companies expand into the UK. Kevin's role at the UKIBC is to co-ordinate the work of the team across the UK and Indian offices, lead the Business Services team in the UK and India, and manage relationships with members, UK Trade and Investment and other stakeholders.

Louisa Campbell | Executive Assistant to CEO

Louisa joined UKIBC in April 2009 and works closely with the UKIBC executive management team to provide support to the Chief Executive and the board of directors as well as project management across all aspects of the business. Previous to her role at UKIBC, Louisa worked as an executive assistant/project manager in the primary healthcare and built environment sectors in Chester and London.

Ruth Graham | Office Manager/PA

Ruth joined IBPN in April 2007 and then moved onto the UKIBC in September 2007. She now manages all aspects of the office, is PA to the Chief Operating Officer, as well as helping the Business Services Team and book keeping. Previous to this role, Ruth was a Senior Training Specialist, training travel agents to use the airline systems, as well as running her own business for a number of years.

Ishara is Communications Manager at UKIBC. Ishara joined the UKIBC in June 2008 and is currently on maternity leave until May 2010.

Caroline Erskine | Business Services Manager

Caroline joined UKIBC in September 2009 and is responsible for account management for members, developing member services and the UK India Business Angel Network. Prior to her role at UKIBC, Caroline worked in the international banking and global telecommunications sectors for ANZ Investment Bank and Ericsson with particular focus on trade finance in emerging markets.

Tara Panjwani | Business Services Executive

Tara Panjwani joined the UKIBC in late January 2009 as part of the Business Services Team and to manage the Next Generation Network. Her main responsibilities include account management of allocated members, delivering member services, supporting businesses and individuals interested in trade and investment with India and developing and building the Next Generation Network. Prior to her role at the UKIBC, Tara worked as a research consultant for Mirabilis Advisory Pvt Ltd and in the marketing department of the Singapore Tourism Board in Mumbai."

Jesh joined the UKIBC in January 2009 as Policy and Research Analyst. Jesh works closely with UK Trade and Investment on the JETCO initatives as well as working in partnership with external organisations on research projects for UKIBC.

Carolina Ribera | Events and Delegations Manager

Carolina joined UKIBC in June 2008 having previously owned and ran her own events company. Carolina manages the events at UKIBC together with Holly and responsible for the planning and running of all events hosted by UKIBC, partnership organisations and trade bodies both in the UK and in India.

Holly Harvey | Events and Delegations Manager

Holly joined UKIBC in October 2008 and together with Carolina, makes up half of the events management team responsible for the planning and running of all events hosted by UKIBC, partnership organisations and trade bodies both in the UK and in India. Holly graduated from St Andrews University in 2008 with a MA degree in Geography with Social Anthropology.

Ashish Goenka | Manager, Western India

In January 2009, Ash setup UKIBC operations in Western India. He looks after all aspects of India operations including support visiting UK companies and UK-led research initiatives; build relationships with the Indian businesses. Ash is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and previous employers include Sun Microsystems, KPMG and Dresdner Kleinwort

Neeraj Agarwal | Business Advisor, South East England

Neeraj joined UKIBC in July 2008 where his key focus is to enhance, support and develop India related business activities within the South East of England on behalf of UKIBC and SEEDA. Prior to his role at UKIBC, Neeraj co-founded and ran an IT education and training company in India for 9 years before moving to the UK in 2005 to do an MBA from Cambridge. Thereafter he joined the Scottish Institute for Enterprise as a Business Advisor where he contributed to the creation of over 50 student led start-up businesses.
