Ian Gomes is a Partner with KPMG in the UK. He joined the firm's London office in 1983 and was invited to join the partnership in 1992. Immediately prior to assuming his current role as Chairman of the High Growth Markets practice, Ian was the Chief Executive Officer of KPMG in India (2003-2006). He now takes primary responsibility, as market leader for India and the Gulf states, for helping businesses evaluate options connected with accessing those markets and for assisting businesses from there to establish a presence or raise capital in the UK/Europe. He also leads on the firm's initiatives connected with the Asian community in the UK.

He is a Board member of the UK India Business Council and a Trustee of the Bhumi Vardaan Foundation established by HRH The Prince of Wales in India. He is also a UK side member of the UK-India JETCO Accountancy Task Force and a charter member of TiE.
